The common failure mode and problem trouble on the suspension compressor of X5 X6
The BMW X5 and X6 are chassis suspension consisting of a rear airbag suspension shock absorber with a front spring suspension shock absorber. The rear part includes airbags, air pump, solenoid valve block and other repair components. The air pump supplies air through the distribution valve. To the top of the two airbags, the middle is connected by a trachea. The common problems are as follows:
First, the air bag has one side of the pedal and the other side is normal. The most likely situation is that air bag aging leads to air leakage. The second is to distribute the valve spool to cause no gas. The detection method is to change the position of the two air pipes on the solenoid valve block. If the direction of the step is reversed, it means that the valve is distributed, otherwise the air bag leaks.
Second, the problem of the solenoid valve block, if one side of the back collapses, the most likely situation is that air bag aging leads to air leakage. If the two sides of the back are stepping at the same time, there are two reasons. One is the problem of the solenoid valve block, the two sides can not be separated, and the other is that the air pump cannot supply air. The detection method is to connect the air pipe connected to the air bag on the distribution valve directly to the air outlet of the air pump, and the car will see if the vehicle body will rise. If it does not rise, the air pump can be determined. If it can be raised, then it is determined to be the distribution valve.
Third, the shock absorber pump generally has two problems, one is loud, the sound is loud. The reason is that the air pump enters the water, causing the rotor to rust, the bearing to rust, and the accelerated wear resulting in a large bearing clearance, which will ring when working. Second, the air pump does not supply air, because the piston skin is seriously damaged, and the cylinder pulls the cylinder. The rust which is rusted by the water pump in the air pump causes the cylinder to be pulled in the cylinder. The gas leakage is not replaced in time, causing the air pump to work too frequently. Accelerated wear also causes the air pump to fail to supply air.
